There are two API calls setup in the project that retrieve the data for you throughout the project. The first API call returns all sharks by amount invested and has two variables (category and gender). These can be passed as optional query parameters to the API route to filter the amount the sharks invested by category of investment and the gender of the entrepreneur team that pitched their product. The second API is to getSharkByID. In the leaderboard user tiles and the names of the sharks on the podium | you can click on them to send you to a SharkDetailPage that shows more information about the shark (what they're known for | birthday | description | and amount invested). The leaderboard passes a sharkID to the SharkDetail page and then the SharkDetailPage uses a backend query to retrieve information specific to the shark with that ID. Please note that the endpoints are rate limited to 10 requests per second by IP address. If you provide an API key in the headers of your request | that rate limit is increased to 25 requests per minute. The header value should be called "x-api-key:{your-api-key}".
